Massive Chaos at Paris Airport: 75% of Flights Canceled Due to Air Traffic Controller Strike

Airport Panic as 9,000 Flights Affected

Passengers Stranded Amidst Travel Disruption

Paris's Charles de Gaulle and Orly Airports are experiencing severe disruptions due to a widespread strike by air traffic controllers. The protest, fueled by opposition to reforms in air navigation services, has resulted in the cancellation of around 75% of flights at Orly and 65% at Charles de Gaulle on Thursday, April 25th.

The strike has left thousands of travelers stranded, causing chaos and long queues at airport terminals. The General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC) has advised passengers to check with their airlines for the latest flight information and to consider postponing non-essential travel.

The disruption is expected to continue into Friday, with around 10% of flights being canceled at Paris airports. The strike is also likely to affect other European airports, as many flights pass through Paris as a major hub.

Air France, one of the major airlines operating at Paris airports, has announced that it will cancel around 50% of its short- and medium-haul flights on Thursday. Other airlines have also scaled back their operations, leaving passengers facing long delays and uncertainty.
